The StUHdent Campus Sport programme is a series of leagues and competitions offered to students of all abilities who wish to play sport at a more recreational level against other student teams from the University of Hertfordshire.
All fixtures are played at Hertfordshire Sports Village on the de Havilland Campus, so all participants benefit fully from the state-of-the-art facilities available. Leagues are structured, officials are provided (where necessary) and winners are awarded prizes at the end of the competition. So you get all of this, without leaving the comfort of your own university!
The university has a very well established social football programme; hosting both 11 and 5-a-side competitions. However, as our commitment to social sport grows, so does the range of
sports we have available.
Currently the university offer the following sports:
- Mens 11-a-side Football
- Mens 5-a-side Football
- Netball (new for 2009)
- Basketball (new for 2009)
- Badminton (new for 2009)
Students are responsible for organising their own teams within the structured leagues and competitions. The Athletic Union help to manage this process by publishing rules, organising officials (where necessary) and coordinating fixtures throughout the academic year.
